Our Journey
Healthcare is a journey, andwe are just beginning.
In 2018, Cartula embarked on the journey to improve healthcare outcomes in developing countries. Our aim has been to deliver innovative consumer digital health solutions that make healthcare accessible to rural and remote areas. We believe that we can achieve this by implementing market disruptive pricing and using a smartphone as the basis for our products worldwide.
Matching our expertise to a country’s needs
Our journey began in Indonesia with a focus on boosting maternity outcomes in partnership with the University of Indonesia. We offer a maternity application that’s aimed at educating expecting mothers who have limited access to this information. In 2019, having a major Children’s Hospital network heard of our work in Indonesia selected us over other options to be the application used to keep patients informed about their health journey by organising appointments and hospital documents, along their own health information in the one place. The app went live in Australia during late November 2020.
Empowering patients to manage their healthcare
In developed countries, there is a need to break down silos of information and empower the patient to control their healthcare in an efficient manner. This includes the ability for patients to store, manage, and share their health data with people they choose to assist in their ongoing care. We have integrated the best-in-class systems that offer a complete set of tools to enhance the doctor-patient experience. In India, which is our third successful market, we have launched our maternity product Janani, and our General Health app with a specific focus on providing care to communities in rural sectors. Today, we are an established business in three nations and will be expanding our product suite and venturing into new markets as we continue to grow.
